ST CROIX, Virgin
Islands, May 26, 2013 – Adriana Flores, the captain of El
Salvador team that won the NORCECA Group K Qualifier to the FIVB
Women’s World Championship, was selected as the Most Valuable
Player of the four-team event.
Flores played a
key role in the two come-from-behind victories achieved by El
Salvador over hosts U.S. Virgin Islands. El Salvador won its
four matches during the weekend..

U.S. Virgin Islands join El Salvador in the third round
ST CROIX, Virgin Islands, May 26, 2013 – Hosts U.S. Virgin
Islands scored a straight-set victory (25-13, 25-4, 25-15) over
British Virgin Islands to advance to the third round of NORCECA
qualifiers towards the 2014 FIVB Women’s World Championship.
The winners will play against El Salvador on Sunday evening for
the top place at the Second Round Group K and a better seeding
in next year’s round of tournaments.

the final match of the NORCECA Second Round Group K
Qualification Tournament to the 2014 FIVB Women’s World
Championship with a straight-set (25-18, 25-20, 25-19) victory
over St Vincent and Grenadines at Ronald “Ranche” Charles Arena
on Sunday morning.
Captain Adriana Flores and Gabriela Martinez each contributed 8
points to the victory while Dennise Rogel and Andrea Mansur.

El Salvador adds a second victory in Group K
ST CROIX, Virgin Islands, May 25, 2013 – El Salvador bounced
back to defeat hosts U.S. Virgin Islands 18-25, 25-18, 25-17,
25-23 for its second victory of Saturday at the NORCECA Second
Round Group K Qualification Tournament of the 2014 FIVB Women’s
World Championship.
The Salvadorans meet St Vincent and Grenadines (1-1) on Sunday
morning needing one more victory to advance to the finals and
claim a ticket to the third round.
