AFECAVOL coaches want to be among the finalists

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador, November 11, 2013.-Central American Coaches at the 15th Boy’s U21 Central American Championship want to finish among the top three finalists of the competition that runs from November 12-16.

Coaches of Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua agree in having prepared themselves to finish in the top spots of the event giving as they gave their impressions after the general technical meeting.

Leslie Leon (Belize): “We expect to put a good show and hopefully win a couple of matches to place a medal. The boys practiced twice a day on weekends working on their volleyball skills and their chemistry together”.

Mauricio Prado (Costa Rica): “Every time one prepares for an international competition, you have your mind set to be in the three finalists and we’ve prepared to do so; even if I still feel we could have prepared better, the team did a good preparation despite our limitations.”

Ricardo Rivera (El Salvador): “We try to minimize our errors and have a good tournament. If what we do on the court is quality work, the results will be better. Our preparation has been during ten months, each player has been active in the national championship and some have competed in the senior and junior Central American championships”.

AlvinziPelaez (Guatemala): “The battle will be hard, all the teams have prepared well for the competition and we believe we can fight to be among the finalists. This team is formed mostly by U19 players, so it’s the continuity of the same process and we also have more experimented players that make a team that can be gold medalist”.

Rony Martinez (Honduras): “We’ll play every match as a final one with strength and effort, glorifying God with our actions. Individually my players are very talented but as a group we still need more work to do; we are missing two players who weren’t able to come, so we’ll do our best”.

Osman Hernandez (Nicaragua): “We’ve prepared, we’re in good physical condition to have a good performance and finish among the three best.”
