VERACRUZ, Mexico, November 6, 2014 – A two-day workshop focused on Beach Volleyball Information System (BVIS) took place at Centro Rebsamen in Veracruz on November 1-2 in preparation for the double-gender tournament of the Central American and Caribbean Games.

Sixteen volunteers recruited by the Organizing Committee received instructions from Bienvenido Mateo, a BVIS supervisor designated by NORCECA Confederation as part of the contribution of the volleyball and beach volleyball regional governing body to the success of the event.

During the first day of the workshop, Mateo showed the participants with important videos about beach volleyball and worked with the guidelines to recollect the data. After explaining the contents of the document the participants discussed it with excellent results.

The second day, the activity centered on the criteria and technique to be utilized with several videos of matches to help the analysis of the different actions and situations in the games.
