Barbados open Junior CVC very strong!

 

PARAMARIBO, Suriname, April 1, 2018 - The defending champions of the CAZOVA U21 Men sent all participating teams a strong message as they demolished a very talented and confident Haiti. Barbados won the match 3–0 (28-26, 25-19 and 25-21).

 

Barbados had more winners 78 to Haiti 66, Barbados however committed more errors 34 to Haiti 27.

 

Akeel Oxley was Barbados to scorer with 12 points (8 Spikes, 1 Block and 3 Aces) but the Haitian Jean Philippe Bayol was the game highest scorer with 14 points (11 Spikes and 3 Blocks).

 

COACH BARBADOS – John Stuart said “there was a fight going on but not a war. They fought harder.”

 

CAPTAIN BARBADOS – Brandon Callender said “the instruction of the coach was to focus on getting the ball in the court. We did just that and we succeed.”

 

COACH HAITI – Ralph Adolphe said “there was motivation but not enough. I tried to motivate them even more.”

 

CAPTAIN HAITI – Joseph Dumay said “our motivation was down, a lot of stress for losing the first set since we had it at 22-15 in our favour.
