Beach Volleyball Course concludes in Guatemala

 

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, February 24, 2014 – The International Beach Volleyball Coaches Course organized by the Guatemalan Volleyball Federation in collaboration with the FIVB/NORCECA Regional Development Center in Dominican Republic and with the support from NORCECA Confederation concluded successfully last Friday.

 

FIVB Instructor Mauro Hernandez expressed his satisfaction for the results of the course and encouraged all the participants to continue working in favor of the development of beach volleyball within their own national federations.

 

“It is very important that you can contribute to boost the development of beach volleyball within your respective countries,” Hernandez said. “I am quite satisfied with your willingness to acquire new tools to teach the game and coach your players.”

 

He also commented on the importance of the exchange of ideas during the duration of the course (February 18-21) to learn the different situations and circumstances that surround beach volleyball in the different countries.

 

The closing ceremony was attended by Marta Centeno de Sajche, President of AFECAVOL, Magnolia Escobar, General Manager of the Guatemalan National Federation, as well as Héctor Cifuentes and Guillermo Próspero, members. Also in attendance was Lisandra Ramirez, who represented the Development Center as supervisor of the course.
