Beach Volleyball Course in El Salvador

 

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador, March 25, 2014 – The National Volleyball Federation of El Salvador is running an International Coaches Course of Beach Volleyball in collaboration with the Regional Development Center in the Dominican Republic.

 

The course, with the support of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and the NORCECA Confederation, is taking place at the premises of the Salvadorian Volleyball Federation located in the Jose Adolfo Pineda National Gymnasium of San Salvador.

 

Mauro Hernandez of Venezuela, who has had a successful playing career and is a certified FIVB Instructor, is the director of the course that runs from March 24-28.

 

Hernandez won the gold medal at the 2010 Central American Games in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and also claimed the silver medal at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.

 

Nineteen natives of El Salvador, including players, teachers, coaches and staff from municipalities, are participating in the four-day course along with 10 international participants from Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and Trinidad & Tobago.

 

The objective of the course is to increase the number of national coaches with all the requirements to secure a better formation of beach volleyball athletes and better results at the international level.
