Beach Volleyball Tournament Concludes in Puerto Rico    

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, December 30, 2017 – The first edition of the Christmas Beach Volleyball Cup finished with the decisive matches in the categories U14 and U19 respectively.

The event marked the end of the activities of the Puerto Rican Beach Volleyball School in 2017.

In the female U14 class, Mariana Feliciano/Carolina Avilés defeated Adiamar Báez/Valeria Flores for the title while William Rivera/Randall Santiago beat Orlando Santiago/Diego Martínez in the male U19.

The tandem of María González/Allanis Navas, both natives of Manati, won the female U19 winning all their matches as they also did in 2016.

González/Navas defeated Lara Torruella/Yelaiz Torres for the crown and now are considered pre-tournament favorites for the U18 national tournament scheduled to start on Januay 20 as a qualifier to the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina 2018.

In the U16 category for ladies, Feliciano/Aviles defeated Valeria Ramos/Carolina Morales and in the U12, Stephanie Rondon/Ana Rivera downed Adriana Pereles/Darialys de Jesús.

The event was organized by the PUR Beach Volleyball School led by instructors Angel “Cholo” Peña and Alexis Feliciano.
