Beach Volleyball and Volleyball seen as marketable products

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, February 23, 2015 – The NORCECA Beach Volleyball and Volleyball Tournaments are valuable assets with great commercial potential to produce revenues in the short and medium-terms according to a study of the growth experienced in both sport disciplines in recent years.

“I am confident about our marketing projections as our both disciplines continue to impact in a positive way in the different regions of NORCECA,” said Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA, during the annual meeting of the Marketing Commission in Santo Domingo. “The national federations have been able to host our events with the increasing support of local sponsors, which is a good indicator.”

The members of the commission reviewed the competition calendar of beach volleyball and volleyball, including this year’s NORCECA Continental Tournaments and the Pan American Cups in volleyball and the Continental Cups.

Marte Hoffiz said that “a more consistent effort is needed to attract new sponsors by presenting beach volleyball and volleyball as marketable products and good options to be associated with.”

Marte Hoffiz presented the presidency’s activity report and Nelson Ramirez, director of the NORCECA/FIVB Regional Development Center in Dominican Republic took a turn to present the results of the seminar and courses carried out last year.
