Belize makes rapid work against El Salvador

 

PANAMA CITY, Panama, July 29, 2016 – Belize did a quick work against El Salvador with a straight-sets victory 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-16) in the second match of day five at the U23 Men’s Central American Championship being played at José “Beto” Remón Gymnasium.

 

Belize’s serves did plenty damage to the Salvadorans with 8 aces to only one by El Salvador, and also showed strong superiority with 34 effective spikes against only 21 by the losing squad.

 

Bryton Codd was again the top gun for Belize with 17 points, 14 in attacks. For El Salvador, Mauricio Rivas made 8 points and Daniel Umanzur and Luis Carranza with 7 points each.

 

In the match that lasted only 1 hour and seven minutes, the team of Belize committed 23 unforced errors, while El Salvador made 24 mistakes.
