Board of Administration examines proposals for Congress

 

CAGLIARI, Sardinia, October 29, 2014 – The FIVB Congress week in Cagliari, Sardinia marks the end of a busy two-year cycle for the International Volleyball Federation, which the FIVB Board of Administration reviewed ahead of the 34th FIVB World Congress on Friday and Saturday.

 

The Board of Administration, which is responsible for the overall management of the International Volleyball Federation's activities, overseeing the work of the national federations, confederations, commissions and councils, discussed the agenda for the Congress meeting, which will take place from October 31-November 1. The working file and the Board of Administration proposals to be submitted to the national federation representatives at the Congress were also examined.

 

The Forte Village Resort near Cagliari hosted the FIVB Board of Administration meeting, which followed on from a meeting of the FIVB Executive Committee on Tuesday. A Development Workshop involving the FIVB's member national federations will be held on Thursday.

34th FIVB World Congress

The 34th FIVB World Congress will welcome 200 national federations to the Sardinian city of Cagliari. The event will be streamed live, giving members of the volleyball family from around the world the opportunity to learn about the organisation’s activities over the last two years.
