Colombians celebrate triumph of countrymen

 

PACHUCA, Mexico, June 14, 2014 – They had one eye here and the other in Brazil following the match of their country at the Football World Cup and at the end there was plenty reason to celebrate.

 

The Colombian volleyball players taking part in the XIII Pan American Women’s Volleyball Cup watched their countrymen winning against Greece 3-0 in their first outing of the global quadrennial event.

 

They kept cheering for their team from start to finish and exploded in joy when the main referee whistled signaling the end of the match.

 

The players and team staff were not alone rooting for their side as South American Confederation President Rafael Lloreda Currea joined them following the action and the celebration.

 

The Colombians have a 1-1 win-loss record in Pool B of the Volleyball Cup and today they meet Argentina in a South American duel.
