Captain Tatiana Sayles of Costa Rica, who rested because of a minor pain in her shoulder, spoke about what she observed from the bench “my teammates were disciplined in blocking and in serving. It was important to use all our players, each one responded well in their positions and the team worked well together as players got in”.

Ericka Calero of Nicaragua insists that her team has a bad attitude “we know how to perform, proof of that is what we did in the second, however we lack energy”.

Coach Braulio Godinez of Costa Rica considered that Nicaragua had a more demanding match yesterday than his team “they seemed tired and lacking emotion, it was a very technical match for us”. About his strategy he added “we rotated the whole line-up, this was our plan, and we benefited from the fact that the match was very technical. We hope to count with all our players tomorrow”.

“Our offensive line didn’t work well, a team that doesn’t attack, doesn’t play; they allowed Costa Rica to take the initiative. Our state of mind after losing yesterday has been hard on my players” indicated Nicaragua’s coach Claudia Noguera.
