Costa Rica keeps on winning at AFECAVOL U-18

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras, August 18, 2017.- Defending champion Costa Rica kept their winning streak after easily defeating Belize 3-0 (25-12, 25-8, 25-5) on the last match of day two of the XII AFECAVOL Girls’ U-18 Central American Championship on Friday night.

Costa Rica had no difficulties on grabbing their third consecutive win while they powered up with strong serves to finish with 12-2 advantage over Belize; they were more effective in spikes with 24-11 margin and they also led in blocks by 4-2.  Costa Rica benefited from 34 opponent errors while limiting to 10 their own.

Opposite Ana Rojas of Costa Rica was the only player with double digits scoring 15 points on 8 kills, one block and 6 six aces.

Costa Rica has a perfect 3-0 record holding on to second place with 13 points; Belize remains winless.
