Countries to participate in Veracruz BVB announced

 

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, January 10, 2014 – The Beach Volleyball Commission announced the sixteen countries that will be represented in both genders at the tournament of the XXII Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz, Mexico next November.

 

The countries were selected according their respective rankings based on the points obtained during the years of 2011-2013.

 

The countries to be represented in the women’s tournament are:  Mexico (host), Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tobago, Cuba, Nicaragua, Cayman Islands, El Salvador, Saint Lucia, St Kitts & Nevis, Honduras, U.S. Virgin Islands, Colombia and Venezuela.

 

The countries to be represented in the men’s tournament are: Mexico (host), Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tobago, Costa Rica, Cuba, Saint Lucia, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Aruba, U.S. Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Colombia and Venezuela.

 

It was also informed that Veracruz will organize a test event on October 7-13 in preparation for the Central American Games. The competition will form part of the NORCECA Circuit.
