Data Volley Course taking place in Cuba

 

HAVANA, Cuba, February 14, 2018 – An International Course of Data Volley which runs until February 18 is taking place in Cuba for the first time.

 

The course is being addressed at the Center of Investigations of Cuban Sport under the auspices of NORCECA Confederation and the Cuban Volleyball Federation.

 

The course is under the direction of Venezuelan Yeivic Jiménez, FIVB Instructor, and covers 35 coaches and specialists of the highest level in the island as well as those who form part of the reserve personnel in the different provinces.

 

Ariel Sainz, president of the Cuban Federation, said the objective of the activity is to get closer and trained according the new trends 0f technology in volleyball.

 

He explained that the use of Data Volley and Data Video is the most updated way to gauge the sport performance of the teams with high level and Cuba can’t stay aside of that modernization if the game in order to achieve the goals proposed for the immediate future.

 

The course forms part of the actions taken by the Cuban Federation for the permanent progress of the local coaches, so necessary to put the national teams on the course to obtain the results proposed for a team that amassed four female Olympic medals and one in the male division as well as several podiums in world championships.
