Dominican Ambassador special guest of FIVB President
NAGOYA, Japan, October 8, 2018 – The Ambassador of the Dominican
Republic to Japan, H. E. Héctor Dominguez and his wife Mme
Alexandra Álvarez de Dominguez were special guests of the FIVB
President Dr. Ary S. Graça of Brazil during one of the matches
of the Women’s Volleyball World Championship.
The diplomats were introduced to Dr. Graca by Mr. Cristobal
Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA and First Executive Vice
President of FIVB.
The Dominican Ambassador and his wife were accompanied by the
Dominican General Consul the honorable Carlos Cepeda and Dr.
Lilliam Fondeur, the renowned gynecologist who is visiting
Mr. Dominguez took the opportunity to greet the players of the
Dominican Republic who are competing in the second round of the
24-team event that takes place every four years.
The athletes and Ambassador Dominguez posed for the
photographers with a national flag of the Dominican Republic.
The Dominicans next play Mexico on Wednesday and conclude their
participation facing Germany on Thursday.
Mr. Marte Hoffiz thanked Ambassador Domínguez for taking time to
support their compatriots making the trip from Tokyo to Nagoya.
