Dominican Republic falls to Thailand

Gdansk, Poland, October 1, 2022.- The Thai team defeated the Dominican Republic team in a match that extended to the maximum of five sets.

With strong attacks, the Thais overcame the Dominican team (75-69) to beat them with a score of 3-2 (31-29, 16-25, 21-25, 25-22, 15-11) and give them their second defeat in this Women's Volleyball World Championship.

For Thailand, Ajcharaporn Kongyot scored 26 points and Pimpichaya Kokram added another 25. For the Dominican Republic, left-hander Gaila González added 28 points and Bethania de la Cruz and Brayelin Martínez had 21 and 16 points, respectively.

The Dominican Republic now has a 3-2 record in this World Cup event.
