Dominican team will play two friendly matches against Brazil

 

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, May 26, 2017 – The Dominican Republic Women’s National Team leaves on Saturday for Manaus, Brazil to play two friendly matches against their Brazilian counterpart on May 30 and June 1, announced head coach Marcos Kwiek.

 

Kwiek said those matches are part of the preparation of his team for the XVI Pan American Cup to be held in Peru from June 15 to 26.

 

The Dominicans will be defending champions after obtaining their fourth crown last year at Ricardo Arias Pavilion in Santo Domingo.

 

Kwiek said that Bethania de la Cruz, who had an outstanding season playing in Russia, and libero Brenda Castillo, who enjoyed a great tournament in Brazil, will stay back in Dominican Republic together with Prisilla Rivera, Cindy Rondon and Yokaty Perez.

 

The team traveling to Brazil consists of Niverka Marte, Camil Dominguez, Annerys Valdez, Yineirys Martínez, Ana Binet, Brayelin Martínez, Yonkaira Peña, Erasma Moreno, Marianne Fersola, Jeoselina Rodríguez, Gina Mambrú, Gaila González and Larismer Martínez.
