ECVA held General Assembly in St Kitts

 

ST KITTS, March 3. 2018 – Fourteen National Federations and regional members participated in the general assembly of the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association –one of the zones within NORCECA Confederation- held here on Sunday.

 

The assembly was chaired by Glenn Quinlan, president of ECVA, in the presence of Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA, Shawn Richards, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, and Alfonso Bridgewater, president of the St Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee.

 

The financial statements were approved as well as the budget for 2018 and 2019.

 

The constitution of ECVA was updated and the competition calendar for 2018 was also approved by the assembly.

 

The participants agreed on the distribution of Molten equipment donated every year by NORCECA to all National Federations as well as the Sport Court playing surfaces.

 

The countries to participate in the beach volleyball qualification tournaments towards the Youth Olympic Games in Argentina, were also confirmed.

 

The assembly rated as very positive the contribution by NORCECA over the past fourth year and also evaluated the FIVB Development Hub which already has beneficiated six National Federations from ECVA.

 

Finally the assembly confirmed the ECVA countries that will participated in NORCECA events as well as the Pan American Cups.
