El Salvador and Guatemala-1 awaiting rivals

SAN JUAN DEL SUR, Nicaragua, October 19, 2013 - El Salvador and Guatemala-2 advanced to the semifinals of the Men's Tournament of the XIII Central American Championship Beach Volleyball 2013, and will face the rivals out of the quarterfinals to be played on Sunday morning.

El Salvador’s Carlos Talavera/David Vargas dominated the Group A to finish first, beating Guatemala-2 (Julio Recinos/Luis Garcia), while in the Group B, Andy Leonardo/Erick Garrido of Guatemala-1 ended with a perfect score of 3-0.

In the quarterfinals of Sunday, Ruben Mora and Miguel Lopez of Nicaragua-1, who finished third in Group B, go against Recinos/Garcia. In the other game, Gerald Umana and Henry Hernandez of Nicaragua-2 will face Esteban Escobar/Jonathan Guevara of Costa Rica 1, who finished second in Group B.

The winner of the game between NCA-1 and GUA-2 two will face Leonardo/Garrido, top of Group B. Salvadorans Talavera/Vargas await the winner between NCA-2 and CRC-1.
