Electronic Score Sheet Seminar for ECVA countries

 

BASSETERRE, St Kitts, October 20, 2014 - Thirty one persons from throughout the Eastern Caribbean descended on St. Kitts to participate in the Electronic Score Sheet seminar, from the October 17-19. 

 

This event provided participants with cutting edge information that will bring them on par with other volleyball regions throughout the world.  Consequently this workshop is within the developmental frame work of NORCECA and the ECVA as it seeks to empower member countries. 

 

Present at this workshop were thirteen of the fourteen member grouping; Anguilla, Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, St. Eustatius and Saba. 

 

 Two notable participants were coaches Joao Carlos Moraes de Campos (Brazil) and Dan Girleanu (Romania). 

 

Members were impressed with the new system as shown by Venezuelan Yeivic Jimenez.  The instructor has been actively training other volleyball regions in the use of this system for the past ten months.

 

 Glenn Quinlan, who is the President of the ECVA and a Vice President of NORCECA was elated at hosting such a workshop.  He is of the view this workshop will be critical to the growth and the advance of Volleyball in the ECVA.
