SHARM EL SHEIKH, Egypt, May 4, 2018 – FIVB President Dr. Ary S.
Graça F° brought the FIVB Board of Administration meeting to a
close today following discussions on a range of calendar and
commission proposals.
Different aspects from all disciplines, including volleyball,
beach volleyball and snow volleyball were debated. The Board

programme, having topped a poll of Japanese citizens aged 12-21.
The Ariake Arena has already been confirmed as the venue for
volleyball throughout the Olympic Games, ensuring a stadium in
the heart of the city.
Other events discussed include the 2018 Volleyball World
Championships and the 2019 Beach Volleyball World Championships.
The FIVB will hold its World Congress in November 2018 in
Cancun, Mexico and plans are already being finalised to ensure a
successful and productive global meeting.
Speaking after the conclusions of this week’s meeting, President
Ary Graça said:
"The Board of Administration is crucial in keeping the FIVB and
volleyball as a sport at the cutting edge of innovation and fan
engagement, while also maintaining the good governance and
transparency of the Federation.
"We have heard a number of proposals over the past two days and,
because of the forward thinking ideas and determination to
succeed, I am excited for the future of our sport."
Earlier this week, President Ary
Graça also chaired the Executive Committee meeting, and an FIVB
delegation, led by the FIVB President, held a productive meeting
with the governor of the South Sinai, Khaled Fouda, where they
