LAUSANNE, Switzerland, March 29, 2017 - The International Volleyball Federation and logistics services provider DB Schenker extended their partnership for four more years in Lausanne today, bringing world class logistics solutions to the international federation's volleyball and beach volleyball events.

The logistics services provider already supports the FIVB with worldwide logistics and ancillary services, inclusive of customs clearance for all kinds of events staged by the 222 national volleyball federations.

The contract has now been signed at the FIVB headquarters in Lausanne. The first partnership agreement was concluded back in 2014.

As official logistics partner of the FIVB, the experts from DB Schenker sports events are responsible for the planning, organization, coordination and execution of all transport matters for volleyball and beach volleyball events the world over.

These include FIVB top events such as the Volleyball and Beach Volleyball World Championships, as well as World League, World Grand Prix and World Tour Finals.

The DB Schenker sponsorship was renewed by the FIVB because of the company's comprehensive experience as service provider for major international sports events, such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as numerous World Championships.

Moreover, the company's sporting pedigree, its experience with marketing sports properties and potential for generating new business opportunities fits well with the FIVB's future direction and goals.

"I am glad that we have agreed to continue this strong partnership, as we are preparing for several mega-events such as the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in 2017 and 2019, the FIVB Men's and Women's Volleyball World Championships in 2018 and, of course, the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo," said FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F°.

"Thanks to the well-organized logistics delivered by DB Schenker, the FIVB has optimised its service, saved time and reduced the costs for everyone involved."

"As official partner of the FIVB, we look forward to the challenges that await us when providing the logistics for the countless national and international events," added Christian Schultze, Head of DB Schenker sports events. "Volleyball and beach volleyball are sports for which our enormous experience will allow us to present global solutions for all logistics requirements."

In Santo Domingo, president of NORCECA Confederation Cristobal Marte Hoffiz praised the kind of services provided by DB Schenker to the institution in the transportation of sporting goods to all its 41 affiliated national federations.

NORCECA distribute annually Molten balls, nets, antennas for volleyball and beach volleyball utilized by the national federations in their local and regional competitions. Also distribute synthetic SportCourt playing surfaces as part of its development program.
