SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, February 23, 2012 – A technical seminar for libero will be held in Trinidad and Tobago from March 19 to 25 organized by the FIVB Regional Development Centre in Dominican Republic.

The seminar will be under the coordination of Sweden’s Tony Westman, an experienced professional coach for more than 15 years of top women’s and men’s clubs in Europe including the last seven with Denmark Women’s National Team.

The Seminar is sponsored by NORCECA Confederation as part of its development program and has the approval of the FIVB Technical Department.

“We continue expanding the influence of the FIVB Development Center in Dominican Republic,” Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA said. “This is very important to increase the technical level of the national teams at the different age groups.”

Nelson Ramirez, Director of the Development Centre, expressed his satisfaction for the support from both NORCECA and FIVB.

“This Libero seminar marks the start of our 2012 activities,” Ramirez said. “We appreciate the collaboration we are having from the Trinidad and Tobago National Federation and its president Mushtaque Mohammed.”
