Four National Federations recognized by NORCECA Congress

 

TIJUANA, Mexico, November 2, 2013 – The XXII NORCECA Congress recognized four National Federations of the different zones within its structure for their outstanding work in the past two years.

 

The representatives of the National Federations of Guatemala, Jamaica, Saint Lucia and Mexico were recipients of plaques in the first day of sessions of the biennial general assembly of the continental institution.

 

Enrique Santis (Guatemala), Sereana Dunkley (Jamaica), Brian Louisy (Saint Lucia) and Jesus Perales (Mexico) all expressed their satisfaction for the recognition.

 

The President of NORCECA, Cristobal Marte Hoffiz praised the efforts made by those National Federations in the organization of volleyball and beach volleyball competitions and also in the promotion and development of the sport in their countries.

 

“All those National Federations have made an extraordinary effort with passion and dedication,” Marte Hoffiz said. “The success achieved by NORCECA has had a direct connection with the work done by these institutions and their leaders.”

 

He particular lauded the Mexican Federation for hosting two FIVB World Championships in 2013 and also for the organization of multiple competitions of beach volleyball including the final tournament towards the London Olympic Games.
