RIMINI, Italy, June 16, 2021 – France defeated
United States 3-1 (25-23, 22-25, 31-29, 25-22)
in a match of the fourth round of the FIVB Men’s
Volleyball Nations League on Wednesday.
Both teams scored via 57 attacks and had the
same number of aces (3-3). The Americans led in
blocks 14-6 but gave away 37 points via unforced
errors to 25 by the Frenchmen.
Earvin Ngapeth was the top scorer for France
with 16 points, Jean Petry added 14 points and
Stephen Boyer chipped in with 10.
Torey Defalco had 21 points for United States
followed by Kyle Ensing (14), Thomas Jaeschke
(13), Maxwell Holt (12) and Mitchel Stahl (10). |
