PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic, June 26, 2015 – Frank Rainieri,
one of the pioneers in today’s Dominican Republic tourism
industry, made the ceremonial first serve at the opening
ceremony of the Punta Cana Beach Volleyball Tournament, the
second stop of the 2015 NORCECA Circuit.
Rainieri, president of Punta Cana Beach Resort and member of
several environment and charities foundations in the eastern
part of the Dominican Republic, also received a plaque presented
by the Dominican Volleyball Federation.
Ramon Garcia, president of the NF, and Cristobal Marte Hoffiz,
president of NORCECA Confederation, took part in the ceremony
and both expressed their appreciation for the support offered by
Rainieri and the Hotels’ Association of Punta Cana to make
possible the inaugural beach event.
Marte Hoffiz commented on the vision of future of Rainieri, who
launched the development of Punta Cana as a vacation destination
in the 1970’s and today has been converted in a world-famous
tourism point of attraction visited by millions of people
throughout the year.
“We are very proud of having Frank Rainieri, a long-time friend,
as the main sponsor of this tournament,” Marte Hoffiz said. “I
consider Frank as a real patriot for his contributions to the
development of our country and his effective presence in all the
charitable activities in the eastern part of the Dominican
Republic.” |
