French St. Martin host last leg of the ECVA, FIVB World Cup Qualifiers

MARIGOT, St Martin, October 28, 2016 - The Gallis Bay Auditorium will be on fire this weekend, as St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Eustatius, Saba and host St. Martin set the field alight with spectacular volleyball action in round 1 of the ECVA, FIVB World Cup qualifiers.

Statistical information indicates that St. Kitts and Nevis and hosts St. Martin are the favorites in this event however St. Eustatius and Saba will lay their case to claim the title and advance to round two.

Host, St. Martin still licking their wounds following the elimination of their male team, will be certain to lay claim to their share of the round two tickets.

President Stephens is very confident his team will advance and is not worried.  In his words, “the Phoenix will scorch some opponents”.

The ladies from Sugar City will not be entertaining any disruptions to their plans of outright victory.  Antoinette Henry and Maliesha Caesar will be reinforcing the intent of team SKN, with blistering offense and a stingy defense.

St. Eustatius being no strangers to competition will engage in an all out blitz, as they seek to advance to the second round.  President Henriquez was bubbling with confidence as his secret weapon will be unleashed.

Debutants Saba, will not be fazed by past achievements or talk but will eloquently state their case on the court, against each opponent.  The embers of Saba’s intensity are burning brightly and they intend on showcasing this.

With all the excitement in the air, the only question is who will advance to round two?
