Guanajuato prepares to host the III U23 Men’s Pan Am Cup

GUANAJUATO, Mexico, September 3 2016 – The final details prior to the celebration of the third edition of the Men’s U23 Pan American Cup have been prepared at the Yerbabuena Sports Gymnasium, in the capital of the State of Guanajuato.

This region located in central Mexico is familiarized with volleyball, after hosting recently the 2016 National Youth Olympic Tournament as well as the National Masters Festival and the 2012 Mexican National Youth and Junior Olympic Tournaments.

The tournament will be played from September 5 through 11 with the participation of teams from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Saint Lucia as well as Trinidad and Tobago.

Members of the Control Committee held a previous inspection at the official venue along with local organizing officers to check the court and facilities.

Preliminary Inquiries are scheduled to take place on Sunday as well as the General Technical Meeting at the Hotel Mission in the Historical District of Guanajuato.

First match will be played on Monday at 3:00 PM followed by an opening ceremony with Norceca, Mexican Volleyball Federation, Local Organizing Committee officers and Guanajuato State Sports Commission authorities.
