Guatemala Wins Female U21 Beach Volleyball Crown

PUERTO CORTÉS, Honduras, November 4, 2018 - María Fernanda Juárez and Paola Alvarado were awarded the gold medal of the women's tournament of the XI Central American Championship of Beach Volleyball Sub 21 after winning 2-0 (22-20, 21-8) over the couple from Honduras, Cecille Johnson / Shanna Rivera.

After a complicated first set for the Guatemalans, due to the strength of Johnson's shots and the good service of the Honduran player, a knee injury reduced her productivity and that allowed Guatemala to take greater advantage in the second set.
