Guerreras force a decisive semifinal match in Santo Domingo

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, April 26, 2018 – Gaila González recorded a match-high 32 points but her exploits were not enough as Guerreras defeated Cristo Rey 3-1 (19-25, 25-21, 32-30, 25-22) on Wednesday night to force a decisive match in the semifinal series of the Women’s Volleyball National District Tournament.

The last match of the best-of-three series will take place on Friday at Ricardo Arias Pavilion in Santo Domingo.

Jeoselyna Rodriguez and Dahiana Burgos had 20 and 18 points to lead Guerreras while Yinery Martínez and Erasma Moreno added 17 and 15, respectively, in the victory.

Marifranchi Rodriguez had 14 points, including six blocks, in the loss while Marianne Fersola and Madeline Guillen each had 9 points.
