International Beach Volleyball Course

to be held in Tijuana, Mexico

 

   

TIJUANA, Mexico, March 24, 2015 - Instructor Mauro Hernandez, from Venezuela, arrived in Mexico to direct the International Beach Volleyball Seminar.

 

This seminar begins on Wednesday March 25 and concludes on Sunday March 29. It will take place at the FIVB-Norceca Development Center Baja California.

 

This is the second course at this site since 2011, when Brazilian instructor Magda Falcao directed the first one with the attendance of more than 20 countries from North, Central, South America and the Caribbean region, as well as Asia and Europe.

 

The FIVB representative was received by the Baja California Sports and Physical Culture Institute authorities as well as Norceca representatives in a special meeting prior to the beginning of the seminar.

 

“I am so glad to be here, this is my second time in the Baja California region,” said Hernandez. “More than a decade ago I came here to play an Beach Volleyball Stop of the World Tour in Rosarito Beach.”

 

The seminar will be composed of theoretical and practical sessions an also a special class about Beach Volleyball Informatics System (BVIS) will be part of the contents, according to Hernandez.

 

“The bottom line is to know all the tools we can count on. I’m here to share experiences and also to know about others experience and improve our level and knowledge by exchanging our ideas and interests,” He remarked.

 

“For us Beach Volleyball and Volleyball are two very important sports as part of the programs, and now we will begin to focus in improving our level and quality on the sand,” Said Alberto Arreola, who is part of the FIVB and Norceca Financial Commissions, and coordinates the activities of the regional development center located in Northwestern Mexico.

 

The offical opening of the seminar is scheduled on Wednesday 25. All the attendants will receive official uniforms and studying materials such as a binder and software with all the contents of the course. “We are very optimistic that this will be such a great experience for all,” concluded Hernandez, who was a national beach volleyball player for the Venezuelan teams.
