RIMINI, Italy, June 3, 2021 – Iran claimed a 3-1
(22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-22) victory over Canada
to open the second round of the FIVB Men’s
Volleyball Nations League on Thursday.
It was the third victory in four outings for
team Iran while Canada dropped its record to
1-3.
The Iranians held a commanding difference
against their opponents in blocking 14-7 and
serving aces 6-3. They also led in attacks
55-51.
Saber Kazemi led five Iranians who registered
double figures in scoring with 17 points He was
supported by Seyed Mousavi with 16 and Meisan
Saleji with 14. Milad Ebadipour and Massoud
Gholami chartered 12 apiece.
Joseph Sclater and John Gordon Perrin had 17 and
16, respectively, and Arthur Szwarc added 10.
