Guatemala prepares for Men’s Central American Cup
GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, January 22, 2013. –The XVII Men’s
Central American Volleyball Cup will be held in Guatemala City
from February 2-9.
All the countries of the region, with the exception of Belize,
will take part in the competition to be held at the Teodoro
Palacios Flores Gymnasium of the country’s capital.
Costa Rica are the reigning champions after winning the biennial
competition last time held in El Salvador in 2011.
The National Federation of Guatemala, presided over by Enrique
Santis, held a joint preparation meeting with the members of the
Control Committee and the Organizing Committee.
During the meeting, Santis explained the organizing details to
the representatives of the appointed commissions including Mrs
Marta Centeno, president of AFECAVOL and of the control
committee.
“Guatemala is ready to organize a successful tournament and the
organizing committee has the support of all the members of the
control committee,” Santis said.”We have been making the final
adjustments, among them, the live TV transmissions of all
Guatemala’s matches.” |
