“I have no words to describe the emotions I am feeling now. Puerto Rico played a great game and it was another historic contest between our teams like always. It is very important for the Dominican volleyball to qualify again to the America’s Cup. This victory is part of the hard work we have been doing in our program under the leadership of Nelson Ramirez,” said Jacinto Campechano, the Dominican coach.

Fernando Morales, the captain of Puerto Rico said: “It was a tough game, as it was expected. A very tough game and we are not happy because we didn’t reach our goal but they played a great game.”

The victory earned the Dominican Republic the third place of the Cup and the qualification to the America’s Cup for second consecutive year.
