Level III Coaches Course is underway in Santo Domingo

 

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 8, 2013 – Twenty participants are attending the International Level III Coaches Course at the FIVB Regional Development Center in Dominican Republic.

 

The course is under the direction of Gustavo Meczyc with Luis Muchaga as the instructor, both with high a long and qualified experience.

 

All the participants come from Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Curacao, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia and Venezuela.

 

The opening ceremony was attended by Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, President of NORCECA, Luis Mejia Oviedo and Antonio Acosta, President and General Secretary of the Dominican Republic Olympic Committee, and Nelson Ramirez, Director of the Development Center, as well as the instructors.

 

“This is one of the most important courses ever held in our center and there is no doubt will contribute to the development of volleyball,” Ramirez said. “The qualification of the coaches is a necessity and I am sure all the participants will benefit from the experience of working together with the instructors in charge of the course.”
