Louisy awarded with Order of the British Empire
 

CASTRIES, St Lucia, June 19, 2016 - Brian Louisy, president of the St Lucia Volleyball Federation and Executive Director of The St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture has been Awarded Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to the public and private sectors.

 

Mr. Glenn Quinlan, President of the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association a NORCECA zonal entity that includes St Lucia among its members, extended a congratulation message for the deserving honor.

“Allow me to proffer, on my own behalf, and on behalf of the volleyball fraternity, my very sincerest congratulations on the conferring upon you of the Order of the British Empire,” Quinlan stated.

“This most sterling accomplishment is the result of your tireless service in business and sport in St. Lucia and we, your colleagues, are very proud of this achievement,” Quinlan added.

Mr. Lanfraze Cherubin, President of the Chamber, also extended a note of congratulations to Mr. Louisy for the high honour.

We know of Mr. Louisy’s contribution in the public and private sector, and we are also aware of his immersion, and time-honoured service and commitment in the sporting arena,” Mr. Cherubin stated.

Officer of the Order of the British Empire is the second rank of the order and is the one that those who have performed very worthy service are admitted to. The holder uses the letters OBE after their name.
