Puerto Rican Victor Rivera led his side with 22 points, Roberto Muñiz charted 19 and Enrique Escalante and Jose Rivera added 15 and 10.

“I am very happy about playing in the finals of an event like the Pan American Cup,” Argentinean Coach Alejandro Grossi said. “We played very well and had good offensive numbers even though we couldn’t close the first two sets. But we never quit and to kick off the fifth set with a 5-0 lead gave us comfort to play loose.”

“We played bad, couldn’t block and didn’t defend some playable balls,” Argentinean coach of Puerto Rico Carlos Cardona said. “We made many errors but Argentina play well organized and performed better than us. I think we will be seeing this kids playing very soon for the first team of Argentina.”
