LAUSANNE, Switzerland, February 13, 2014 – The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has confirmed that Milan, Italy will host the 2014 FIVB World Congress from October 31 to November 1.

The 34th FIVB World Congress will bring together members of the international volleyball family over the two day period and will be preceded by a one day workshop for all national federations on October 30.

The workshop will provide participants the opportunity to discuss issues with the FIVB and confederation officials while also providing a platform for the FIVB to update federations on key developments within the organisation.

The FIVB World Congress is the Federation's supreme governing body and is held every two years, with the last, an elective Congress, held in Anaheim (USA) in 2012. This year’s Congress will be held after the FIVB Volleyball World Championships. The FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship Poland 2014 will take place from August 30 to September 21 and will be followed by the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship Italy 2014 from September 23 to October 12.
