NORCECA Beach Media Guide soon available online

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, February 18, 2013 – The NORCECA Beach Volleyball Media Guide, a summary which contents the chronological results of all the tournaments starting from 2006, soon will be available in the confederation’s website.

The presentation of the digital guide was made by Roosevelt Comarazamy, coordinator of the Press Commission, during its annual meeting held on Monday at the confederation’s headquarters in Santo Domingo,

“This is a tool we are providing to all the media covering our beach volleyball events this year, and the table of medals by country and by players, will updated permanently at the end of each competition,” Comarazamy said.

“There you will find the top performers of all time and which countries have achieved more success in the history of the NORCECA Circuit,” he added.

The members of the commission analyzed the positive points and difficulties they faced last year as press delegates for the different tournaments. They participated in open discussions and exchanged their points of view about how to improve the conditions for a better coverage of the tournaments.

They all agreed on paying extensive attention to the role of television, streaming television and the new social media as important tools of communication in today’s world.

“It was a very good meeting and each one of the members had a dynamic participation and contributed to a successful encounter,” Comarazamy said.

Cayacoa Moquete, director of info and technology, presented the design of the new website to be launched next month that will feature special sections for volleyball, beach volleyball and NORCECA as institution.

The members of the commission who took part in the meeting were the following:

Arturo Couoh of Mexico, Rodolfo Andreu and Carolina Rivas of Guatemala, B.J. Evans and Bill Kauffman of United States, Phillip Lirus of Martinique, Ernesto Beltré, José Cáceres, Moquete and Comarazamy of Dominican Republic.
