VCP Referee Course concludes in Guatemala

 

MAZATENANGO, Guatemala, November 15, 2012 – The National Referee Course carried out in Guatemala under the auspices of the FIVB Volleyball Cooperation Program, concluded successfully in the city of Mazatenango.

 

Nineteen school teachers were among the total 35 participants in the course directed by Jose Ramon Perez Vento with Carlos Rene de la Cruz as instructor. The course was held from November 6-10 with four female participants.

 

The theoretical and practical lessons were addressed with two daily sessions from 9 to 12 in the morning and 3 to 8 in the afternoon.

 

“I want to congratulate the Guatemala Volleyball Federation and its president Enrique Santis and all the staff for the great effort made in order to have this course here,” Perez Vento said during the closing ceremony.

 

“There was a great understanding between the instructors and the participants throughout the course which contributed to reach all the objectives,” he added. “They all passed the first basic level and in the upcoming years will be ready to attend a course of International Candidate.”
