Coaches Course concludes in Jamaica

 

Kingston, Jamaica, November 19, 2012 – Twenty-eight participants from 18 countries took part in the International Coaches Course Level I successfully concluded on Saturday at Foster College facilities in Kingston.

 

The participants received their certificates from, among others, Mr. Michael Fennell, president of Jamaica Olympic Committee and vice president of the Pan American Sport Organization, and Major Warrenton Dixon, president of Jamaica Volleyball Association.

 

The course was supervised by FIVB instructors Athanasios Papageorgiou of Greece and Ramiro Hart of Curacao. Also, Reed Sunahara of United States, who is currently in Jamaica for a one-month period as an advisor for JaVA under the development plan of NORCECA Confederation took part in the instructional sessions.

 

The event forms part of the program of the FIVB Regional Volleyball Development Center in Dominican Republic, represented during the course by its vice director Yohana Mota.

 

The participants were from: Anguilla, Aruba, Bahamas, Curacao, Dutch Sint Maarten, French St Martin, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, St Eustatius, St Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent & Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos and U.S. Virgin Islands.
