Open and free discussions make of NORCECA a great confederation

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, May 27, 2018 – The two-day meetings of the NORCECA Executive Committee and Board of Administration closed on Sunday with the members receiving reports from several commissions and revisiting the competition calendar for 2018 and 2019.

“It was a fruitful meeting and we appreciate the active and open participation of all the members” said Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA. “That’s what made our confederation a great one because of the open and free discussions to get the better options on every matter.”

The activities of Sunday began with Mushtaque Mohammed ´presenting the report of the Development Commission and Indhira Ramirez the one of Beach Volleyball.

Ariel Sainz, president of the Sport Organizing Commission, commented on the volleyball competitions of last year and those scheduled in 2018 while Jose Luis Jiménez made the report of Refereeing.

Roosevelt Comarazamy made the report corresponding to the Press Commission and Jaime Lamboy presented a series of amendments to the FIVB Constitution to be presented in the next Congress in Cancún, Mexico.

The members of the Executive Committee and Board of Administration discussed and analyzed the long and strenuous calendars of the professional leagues and also the procedures to elect the authorities of each zonal association and the representatives of NORCECA in the FIVB.
