Padre Fantino and Sagrado Corazón to finals of Cibao stage
SANTIAGO, Dominican Republic, November 23, 2018 - The school
teams Padre Fantino, of La Vega and Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, of
Santiago, advanced to the final of the Cibao stage in the Inter
Collegiate Claro Cup of Women's Volleyball 2018, an event that
takes place in the Fernando Valerio Pavilion of Santiago.
In the semifinals, Padre Fantino beat ALIC, (Santiago), with
score of 2 sets to 0 while Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, defeated
the Instituto Iberia (Santiago) with a score of 2-1.
The Intercollegiate Claro Cup of Women's Volleyball 2018, which
is part of Claro's collegiate sports platform, is sponsored by
Samsung, Gatorade, Seguros Universal, Coca Cola and Agua Dasani.
In the quarterfinals, Padre Fantino defeated Renacimiento (San
Francisco de Macoris) 2-0 and with the same score, ALIC
surpassed Santa Rosa de Lima (Puerto Plata), Sagrado Corazón de
Jesús to Leonardo da Vinci (Santiago) and Instituto Iberia to
Saint David (Santiago).
The champion of the Cibaeña phase will advance to the national
semifinals of the competition.
This Saturday starting at 11:00, in the second round of the main
draw of the Santo Domingo stage, Luis Muñoz Rivera vs. San Judas
Tadeo, Ashton vs. Santa Teresita, New Horinzons vs. Ergos,
Community For Learning vs. Apostolado, Saint Nicolas vs. Delin
and Crossover vs. Notre Dame.
