Pan American Union signs agreement with Molten
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, February 20, 2013 – The Pan
American Volleyball Union is and Molten Corporation have signed
a two-year agreement for the exclusive use of Molten volleyballs
in all the competitions organized by the intercontinental sport
organization.
The Pan American Union is composed by all national federations
of North and South America and organizes the four Pan American
Cups in the youth and junior level and also the U-23
competitions in both genders.
Mr. Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, President of the UPV, and Mr.
Kioyaki Nishihara, Chairman and CEO of Molten USA signed the
agreement during a ceremony held at the NORCECA Confederation
headquarters on Wednesday.
“We are very pleased to sign this agreement that will allow us
to distribute Molten volleyballs for indoor and beach
competitions in all the countries of South America,” Marte
Hoffiz said. “This partnership definitely will contribute to the
development and spreading of our sport in the Americas.”
Molten and NORCECA have been associated for six years and Molten
will be the official ball for the volleyball tournaments of the
Central American Games to be held in Costa Rica next month and
the Central American and Caribbean Games to be played in
Veracruz, Mexico next year.
“We are very satisfied for establishing this new partnership
with the Pan American Volleyball Union and we hope to contribute
to the development of the game in the whole continent as the
official supplier of our volleyballs,” Mr. Nishihara said.
Molten Corporation is one of the largest manufacturers of
competition quality sports balls and is the official ball of
NORCECA, the NCAA and USA Volleyball.
The ceremony was attended also by Mrs. Marta Centeno de Sajche,
vice president of NORCECA, Mr. Hidenari Fuji, who was recently
named Director of Latin American Business of Molten USA and the
members of the refereeing commission of NORCECA. |
