President of FIVB extends sympathy to people in the Caribbean

 

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, September 26, 2017 – The president of FIVB, Dr Ary S Graca expressed his solidarity and of FIVB to all people in the Caribbean islands affected by several hurricanes in recent weeks.

 

In a letter to NORCECA President Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, Dr. Graca said to be “saddened and very shocked” for the devastation and tragic loss of life.

 

The path of hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria have affected many islands causing catastrophic damage to buildings.

 

The complete text of the letter of Dr. Graca:

 

“I was saddened ad very shocked to see the news about the terrible devastation caused by the series of hurricanes in the Caribbean with tragic loss of life and catastrophic damage to buildings and infrastructure.

 

“I sincerely hope that your family and volleyball family are all safe and that no-one hast lost their homes. The FIVB extends its heartfelt sympathy to all the people of the beautiful Caribbean islands who have been affected by these appalling hurricanes.

 

“Please let me know how all NORCECA National Federations are coping in the face of these natural calamities”.
