Prisilla Rivera elected MVP

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, May 6, 2018 - Prisilla Rivera, the veteran outside hitter of Caribeñas was named the Most Valuable Player of the Women’s Volleyball Superior League of the National District won by her team on Sunday.

Rivera received her MVP plaque presented by the minister of Sports and Recreation Danilo Díaz to cap the awarding ceremony.

Brenda Castillo of runner-ups Cristo Rey received plaques as best receiver, best digger and best libero while teammate Gaila Gonzalez won the recognition as best server and best scorer.

Lisvel Eve, Annerys Vargas and Camile Domínguez of Caribeñas were selected as best attacker, best blocker and best setter, respectively, while technical director Cristian Cruz was named as best coach.

The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of National District David Collado, the president of the Olympic Committee Luis Mejía Oviedo, the president of the National Federation Ramon García and the president of National District Association Angel Rivas.
