Prisilla Rivera: Dominican Player of the Year

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, February 21, 2019 – Veteran Prisilla Rivera, who has been part of the national women’s volleyball team, was awarded as 2018 Dominican Republic’s Player of the Year at the Olympic Gala.

Rivera, who had an injury-free 2018, was a key contributor to the success attained by the Dominican Republic at international level including the gold medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia.

The Dominicans also claimed the silver medal at the Women’s Pan American Cup held in Santo Domingo and won by USA.

Rivera received the award from Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of the Female Program of the Dominican Federation, who was accompanied by Ramón A. García, president of the federation.

The ceremony took place at Hotel Rennaisance Jaragua in the capital of the Dominican Republic.
