Puerto Rican League Quarterfinals ready to go

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, April 7, 2014 – The Quarterfinals phase of the Puerto Rican Women’s Superior League kicks off on Tuesday when the second-placed Caguas in the regular series travels to meet the fifth-placed Humacao at Emilio Huyke Pavilion at 8:00 p.m starting the Group B competition.

On Wednesday, Humacao go to Mayaguez (fourth place) for a match at the Recreation and Sports Palace of the western city of the island.

The Group A teams start playing on Wednesday when the regular series winners Ponce hosts Cataño (sixth place) at Salvador Dijols Hall.

On Thursday, Cataño moves to play against the Carolina (third place) at the Mario “Quijote” Morales of Guaynabo.

The top two teams of each group then move to play crossed matched in the best-of-seven semifinal series, with the winners advancing to the Great KIA Final Series starting on May 4.
