Resilience opens the door to semifinals for Galindo and Revuelta

MANZANILLO, México, May 31 2014.- Juan Revuelta and Ricardo Galindo of México 2 had a resilient performance against Simon Fecteau Boutin and James Battiston of Canada 2 in the fight for the semifinals at the fourth stop of the Norceca Beach Volleyball Circuit.

Revuelta and Galindo beat Fecteau Boutin and Battiston 3-2 (14-21, 28-26, 15-11) in a solid comeback on court 2 with the full support of local fans at San Pedrito Beach.

The Mexicans also won their previous match of Pool C Round on Saturday morning against Skyler McCoy and Marty Lorenz of USA 2 (21-17, 25-23).

Derek Olson and Kevin McCollough of USA 1 had no problems in getting into the next round as they beat Mitchel Daniel and Eargenell De Cuba of Aruba (21-13, 21-10), while Canadians Josh Binstock and Samuel Schachter of Team 1 defeated Carlos Escobar and David Vargas of El Salvador (21-18, 21-13).

Puerto Ricans Roberto Rodríguez and Erik Haddock also advanced to Men's semifinals with a solid win against Rubén Mora and Miguel López of Nicaragua 21-17 and 21-19.

Rodriguez and Haddock are also undefeated, after winning two matches on Saturday. They closed the Pool Phase with a win against Aruba’s Daniel and De Cuba (21-16, 21-18). The semifinals start on Sunday at San Pedrito Beach Stadium
